Dj’s Essential

Submitted by on Monday, 21 November 2011No Comment

Right place, right  time. It’s an old clichĂ©, but it’s one that’s been the definition of Dennis Ferrer’s musical career. Just as the dance music world was heading into the world of afro-centric house, Ferrer was there. And then, when it began to embrace the mix of tech and soul, Ferrer was there again, leading the way with his impeccable productions. As Ferrer goes, it seems, so does electronic music. And, as someone who’s never content to do the same thing twice, it’s clear that he’ll be staying on top for years to come.

The new decade sees Yousef consolidating his status as an international DJ, Producer, Club Promoter and Music aficionado with ever greater impact. Last year saw him achieve a first, the release of his debut artist album – A Collection of Scars & Situations’ finally laying down on wax a watermark of his effervescent personality. It showcased the different dynamics to his sound as a performer – heavy support from the usual rag tag ensemble of dance music greats; Sasha, Danny Tengalia, Nic Fanciulli, Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Radio Slave and Nick Curly among them.

Whether criss-crossing the globe with his arsenal of varied sounds or impregnating his own individual aural histrionics on wax, Yousef is stamping his identity on dance music and leaving a lasting impression. There’s few who come close in terms of dedication or in the variance of approach, Yousef hits each and every base with alarming regularity. And the best part yet? The journey has only just begun… it’s now a big clichĂ© but, undeniably, but, 2010 really is Yousef’s year.

“If I had to describe what house music means to me – it may sound vague – but all i can say is, house music is my motherland, my home… in the figurative sense, it’s like a place where i really feel at ease.” A strong statement from DJ André Hommen, who has probably seen hotel-rooms just as frequently as his own four walls of late. He has already traveled extensively with trips to Miami for the Winter Music Conference and Germany and Poland where he made his debut at the legendary Mayday festival. He has played at clubs throughout Europe including Ibiza and Berlin’s premier club adress “Watergate” and his tour schedule has brought him to London, Vienna, Amsterdam, Zurich and all over Germany.

These 3 top international house DJs came and visit us last week at Hu’u Bar for the Essential Party.  The club was full packed, the crowd seemed to be enjoying the music and they partied till the AM. After a hectic gig on the weekend, these humble down to earth DJs got a chance to enjoy a bit of a holiday here in our island. They stayed at our newest villa called K Villa and had a lovely relaxing time.

It’s always good to welcome people who are looking for a nice lovely holiday and appreciates Bali.

We look forward to your next visit guys.
